Should I be concerned about doing my banking online?
Should you be concerned? I don't know that concerned is the right word for it. Careful is the better term.

When banking or paying bills online you are transmitting personal information across the Internet so there is always some risk, but most of that risk can be eliminated by making sure you're connection is secure and the site you're dealing with is indeed your banks or creditors Web site.

When going to a Web site to pay a bill or access your bank account, make sure there is some indication that the site is secure for private information to be transmitted. The easiest ways to tell are an https (the S means it’s secure) in the address bar of the browser or a lock icon on that status bar along the bottom of the browser window.

If you have any concerns or doubts, call your bank or the company you're trying to pay your bill with to confirm the site you're on is legitimate and secure. They will be able to tell you if something is legitimate or not.
