What is the difference between a custom built computer and one purchased from a retail chain? |
Our computer systems are designed and built at our office here in York, PA. The components have been individually selected for reliability, performance, and a common architecture. Our systems are built to a standard called "whitebox" so that components can be interchanged with those from other computer vendors in the event a product is discontinued. Our pricing is very competitive, even more so when considering the service and warranty provided. Our warranties are straight forward, and do not include the hidden exclusions as found in many major manufacturer warranties.
In dealing with a mass computer manufacturer, customers often find difficulty and frustration in getting service on their computer hardware or software. Our major value-add to our clients is the local availability of our service and support. We do support third-party computer systems, such as Dell, Gateway, and HP/Compaq, but the support is better yet for "whitebox" computer systems with the quick availability and decreased expense of replacement equipment and upgrades.
When working with our DataWare built computer systems, the parts are readily available, and our technicians have daily exposure to working with the specific computer parts in our machines, and the network of internal and external support available is far above what one would find in dealing directly with a mass manufacture of computer systems.
